Metro Movies is a pop-up filmfestival with a focus on diversity, inclusivity and inner city life. Situated in the Gaasperdammertunel in "De Bijlmer" it reaches a broad multicultural audience. De Bijlmer is a predominantly a grey mass of concrete where the habitants bring the flavor and color to their community, we wanted to show the "colour" of de Bijlmer for the 2019 edition by using the profiles of it's inhabitants while watching a movie.
The results are very outspoken visuals which draw attention and spark interest. The 2019 edition was thus far their best edition with the most visitors.
